The Role

As a Senior Planning Engineer you will have the opportunity to interact with others in and outside of the organization, and work with facilities and data centers.You will develop comprehensive project schedules to ensure timely completion of HVAC and electrical systems projects. Planning Engineers also coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to align all project milestones.

The Main Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive project schedules to ensure timely completion of HVAC and electrical systems projects. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to align all project milestones.
  • Assess and allocate human and material resources efficiently to meet project demands while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide in-depth technical guidance in HVAC Mechanical systems, as well as AC and DC Electrical systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure project continuity.
  • Collaborate with design teams to review and optimize system designs, ensuring they meet project requirements and performance expectations.
  • Monitor and analyze project progress, addressing any deviations from planned schedules and making necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation for project reviews, audits, and compliance checks.
What We Look For in a Candidate

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or 6 plus years of related field or technical experience.
  • Proven experience in planning and managing projects within HVAC and AC/DC electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Knowledge of industry codes and standards for HVAC Mechanical and AC/DC Electrical systems.
  • Adapt to a work-from-anywhere model, demonstrating the ability to manage time effectively and maintain productivity with minimal supervision.
  • Strong computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Excel, Access, Visio & SQL.
  • Positive and professional attitude, appearance, and demeanor.

Preferred

  • 4+ years of related experience in telecommunications around facilities, data centers, and colocation activities
  • Experience in an engineering role that included a substantial business/financial focus

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

$88,860 - $118,480 in these states: CO  HI  MI  MN  NC  NH  NV  OR  RI 
$93,092 - $124,122 in these states: AK  CA  CT  DC  DE  IL  MA  MD  NJ  NY  TX  VA  WA
