Insero Talent Solutions is recruiting a Senior Quality Manager for a growing optical manufacturing company in Rochester, NY.

We are seeking a Senior Quality Department Manager to lead quality initiatives and drive continuous improvement. This role requires expertise in ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and IATF 16949 certifications, as well as lean daily management, Six Sigma, and strategic deployment tools like the Hoshin Matrix and Goal Deployment Process (GDP). The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and a Six Sigma Black Belt (preferred) to optimize quality systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the company-wide leader for quality initiatives, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and IATF 16949.
  • Lead lean daily management and implement leadership principles to drive operational excellence.
  • Oversee quality control and quality assurance functions, including metrology, calibration, and document control.
  • Drive continuous improvement using Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and real-time process monitoring.
  • Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance product quality.
  • Develop, track, and report quality objective metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Supervise internal auditing programs and facilitate management review meetings to enhance the Quality System.
  • Ensure accurate inspection documentation for parts and raw materials.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring all quality initiatives align with customer expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a senior quality leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and IATF 16949 standards.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Expertise in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and process monitoring.
  • Familiarity with the Hoshin Matrix and Goal Deployment Process (GDP).
  • Experience with lean principles and daily management methodologies.
