Position Summary
Full Consideration Date: June 15, 2026 (close date), start date July 1st
Brief Work Unit Description The Performance Health Analysis (PHA) program within the Department of Health and Exercise Science is a community-facing service that promotes health and wellness through evidence-based performance assessments and body composition measures.
Essential Job Duties
  • Perform Phlebotomy procedures and blood processing
  • Execute VO2 max, submaximal exercise tests, Body Composition, Resting Metabolic Rate testing, and other available tests.
  • Administer advanced assessments like Bod Pod scans and DEXA scans.
  • Perform Physical Measurements, measure Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) using indirect calorimetry.
  • Interpret and explain test results to participants.
  • Measure Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) using indirect calorimetry.
  • Interpret and explain test results to participants.

Conditions of Employment
  • Pre-employment Criminal Background Check (required for new hires) - Include this at a minimum

Minimum Qualifications
  • Prior phlebotomy training and experience
  • Experience working in a clinical research setting
  • Experience performing exercise tests or Physical Assessments
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in observational research, surveys, and questionnaires preferred.
  • Experience with data collection and analysis; proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and at least one statistical software package preferred.
  • Experience with day-to-day organization of research projects, including participant recruitment, coordination of data collection, and data management preferred.
