We are hiring a ERP Systems Engineer!!!

This position can be fully remote within the US. Must be willing to travel to any of our current or future locations.

Summary

The ERP Systems Engineer is responsible for the technical configuration, support, integration, and continuous improvement of the company's ERP and MES platforms.
This role ensures system stability, performance, data integrity, and operational alignment across manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and customer service functions.
The ERP Systems Engineer works closely with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into system solutions while maintaining strong technical ownership of architecture components, integrations, and customizations.
This is a hands-on technical role requiring both engineering depth and cross-functional collaboration.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

ERP System Ownership
Serve as primary technical owner for ERP platforms (Friedman/Frontier, Epicor Manage 2000, Rootstock, M2M, QuickBooks)
Configure, maintain, and optimize ERP modules across manufacturing, inventory, finance, and order management
Ensure master data integrity (items, BOMs, routings, customers, vendors, GL mapping)
Monitor system performance, reliability, and uptime
MES Integration & Manufacturing Systems
Support and optimize integration between ERP and MES systems
Ensure accurate production reporting, labor capture, and inventory transactions
Partner with Operations to improve system-enabled shop floor processes
Troubleshoot transaction flow between production and ERP systems
System Integration & Data Engineering
Design, build, and maintain system integrations (API, EDI, middleware, SQL-based integrations)
Develop reports, dashboards, and data extracts for operational visibility
Manage data imports, migrations, and validation processes
Support automation initiatives across ERP and manufacturing workflows
Technical Configuration & Customization
Implement system enhancements, upgrades, and patches
Develop custom reports, forms, workflows, and automation scripts
Maintain technical documentation of configurations and integrations
Ensure changes follow structured testing and deployment protocols
Continuous Improvement
Identify process inefficiencies and recommend system-based improvements
Collaborate with functional leaders to align system capabilities with business objectives
Participate in ERP optimization and modernization initiatives
Support future ERP consolidation or migration projects
Governance & Controls
Maintain role-based access controls and user security
Ensure financial and operational controls within ERP systems
Support audit requirements and data compliance standards

Education & Experience
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of hands-on ERP system configuration and support experience
Experience with manufacturing ERP environments
Strong SQL skills and database understanding
Experience with ERP integrations (API, EDI, middleware)
Understanding of manufacturing processes (BOMs, routings, work orders, MRP, inventory control)
Experience supporting finance modules (GL, AP, AR, costing)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Friedman/Frontier, Epicor, Rootstock, M2M, or similar manufacturing ERP systems
MES system integration experience
Experience with reporting tools (Power BI, SSRS, etc.)
Experience in multi-ERP environments or ERP consolidation efforts
Lean manufacturing or process improvement exposure

Estimated starting annual base salary pay ranges is $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a bi-weekly basis. Please note that the actual compensation offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined by the Company, which may include, but is not limited to, location, experience, qualifications, education, skillset, and market conditions. The target base compensation for this role is in the low to middle of the range, with the top of the range reserved for only exceptional circumstances.
