The Cell Therapy Thematic Research Center is one of BMS's differentiated research platforms delivering innovative therapies to patients. Our mission is to drive leadership in the use of cellular therapies to harness the power of the immune system in treating hematologic malignancies, solid cancers, and autoimmune disease. More specifically, our discovery and translational scientists are focused on developing next-generation, engineered cell-based therapies.

The team is committed to discovering and developing transformative therapies that harness the power of the immune system to improve patient outcomes. Position Summary Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a highly motivated Associate Scientist to join the In Vivo Pharmacology group supporting Oncology and Immunology discovery programs. The successful candidate will contribute to the evaluation of novel therapeutic candidates by designing and executing preclinical in vivo studies, with a focus on tumor models and immune-mediated disease systems.

This role is laboratory-based and requires strong technical expertise, scientific rigor, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary research environment. Position Responsibilities In the role as Associate Scientist within In Vivo Pharmacology, the ideal candidate: In Vivo Study Execution (Oncology & Immunology) Laboratory-based role requiring routine animal work. Design and conduct in vivo studies in murine models of cancer and immune-mediated diseases (e.g., inflammation, autoimmune models)

Perform compound dosing (IV, IP, SC), tumor measurements, clinical scoring, and animal monitoring. Perform complex animal procedures (e.g., tumor implantation, immune cell transfers, longitudinal sampling) Proficient with IVIS imaging and can operate independently. Data Analysis & Reporting Collect and analyze experimental data using tools such as GraphPad Prism, Excel, or similar

Troubleshoot Maintain accurate and timely electronic lab notebook (ELN) records. Prepare study summaries, contribute to data presentations, and support regulatory or project documentation. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Oncology and Immunology project teams Present findings at team meetings and contribute to scientific strategy discussions.

Interface with external collaborators or CROs as needed. Laboratory Operations & Compliance Ensure compliance with BMS policies, IACUC regulations, and animal welfare standards. Maintain lab supplies, equipment, and study materials.

Participate in continuous improvement of in vivo models and workflows. Experience = Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree 2+ years of academic and / or industry experience Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Immunology, Oncology, Pharmacology, or related field. Typically 2+ years of relevant in vivo experience (industry preferred).

Hands-on experience with in vivo pharmacology and rodent handling. Proficiency in dosing techniques and sample collection (e.g., IV/IP injections, blood/tissue harvest). Experience with oncology tumor models and/or immunology disease models

Strong experience with IVIS imaging. Strong data analysis and organizational skills, scientific curiosity and problem-solving mindset Strong attention to detail and data integrity Effective communication and teamwork skills Ability to manage multiple studies in a fast-paced environment Experience working in matrixed, cross-functional teams desired. Familiarity with imaging techniques, biomarkers, or molecular assays desired.

Compensation Overview: Cambridge - MA - US: $97,490 - $118,131 The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis.

Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee's work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

Summer hours are generally not available for field sales and manufacturing operations and may also be limited for the capability centers. Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible.

Contractors, leased workers and other service providers are not eligible to participate in the program.
