Job Title: Shift Lead – Adolescent Mental Health
Location: Vive Adolescent Care – St. George, Utah
Pay: $24–$26 per hour (Full-Time)

Vive Adolescent Care is a specialized adolescent psychiatric hospital dedicated to helping teens in severe mental health crisis stabilize, heal, and move forward. Our team works in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment where strong leadership, clear boundaries, and compassionate care make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people and their families.

Vive is currently building an exceptional Shift Lead leadership team and is seeking individuals who are calm under pressure, skilled with people, and passionate about supporting both staff and adolescents during difficult moments.

Position Overview
The Shift Lead plays a key role in supporting daily operations on the unit by guiding staff, maintaining therapeutic structure, and ensuring safe and effective responses during crisis situations. This position requires strong leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain a calm, organized presence in a high-acuity environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend weekly and quarterly management and training mtgs
  • Supervise and support direct care staff during assigned shifts

  • Maintain a structured and therapeutic milieu for adolescent clients

  • Calmly lead and coordinate staff response during behavioral crises

  • Support and train staff on therapeutic engagement and boundary setting

  • Model appropriate de-escalation techniques with clients

  • Hold clear and consistent boundaries with both staff and clients

  • Ensure schedules, programming, and daily operations run smoothly

  • Monitor the unit closely and respond to concerns proactively

  • Pay attention to therapeutic details that support client stability and safety

  • Communicate effectively with nursing, clinical staff, and leadership

  • Reliable attendance is critical. Shift Leads are essential to maintaining safe staffing and consistent leadership on the unit, and dependability is a core expectation of this role.
