Job description

The UDAF Animal Industry Division seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Data Visualization Intern with a natural curiosity for data to join our team. This time-limited position  is ideal for someone eager to explore and uncover insights through data, leveraging low-code/no-code platforms to support and enhance operations. Your work will help  trace animal disease outbreaks by gathering and displaying data trends, finding patterns, and identifying and anonymising data.

While ArcGIS experience is a plus, it is not required. The successful candidate will become proficient in ArcGIS Dashboard and/or Google Data Studio, and assisting in troubleshooting and resolving related issues. This role also involves managing the intake, review of data provided by other agencies and included with inhouse data. Also, performing quality control checks, verifying well information, and ensuring accuracy of the data.

Responsibilities
As a Data Visualization intern, you will:
Create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI to provide actionable insights.
Automate business processes using low-code/no-code platforms such as ArcGIS Survey123 and Google Data Studio.
Partner with various teams to gather data, streamline operations, and enhance efficiency.
Manage the intake, review, and routing data, including quality control checks, well information verification, and accurate data.
Produce and maintain reports for internal and public use, and ensure data accuracy through periodic review.
Collaborate with colleagues to understand their responsibilities and provide support as required.
