Job Title: Graphic Designer (Visual Merchandising & Retail Strategy)
Role Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to lead the development of a comprehensive Visual Merchandising Fixture Guide. This project is a critical component of a new retail store initiative, serving as the master resource for fixture standards and spatial capabilities. You will translate complex operational concepts into a visually compelling, professional catalog that guides store teams and stakeholders. The ideal candidate can balance high-level aesthetics with functional clarity, ensuring that technical spatial data is presented as an engaging visual story.
Key Responsibilities
• Design & Publication: Conceptualize, design, and layout a comprehensive merchandising book (digital and print-ready formats) that establishes fixture density standards.
• Visual Storytelling: Translate complex merchandising and operational strategies into clear, easy-to-understand graphics, diagrams, and instructional layouts.
• Technical Illustration: Create detailed fixture density diagrams and supporting visuals that clearly communicate store design capabilities.
• Brand Compliance: Ensure all deliverables adhere to established brand guidelines while maintaining a modern, retail-focused aesthetic.
• Collaborative Design: Partner with cross-functional project teams to incorporate design elements that reflect the future vision of the retail environment.
• Documentation: Develop a project style guide to ensure consistency for future updates and iterations of the catalog.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Graphic Design Mastery: * Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign (for layout), Illustrator (for diagrams), and Photoshop (for image editing).
oFamiliarity with Canva for collaborative design is highly preferred.
• Retail Context (Preferred): A foundational understanding of visual merchandising principles, fixture layouts, or retail store design.
• Technical Skillset: Proven ability to manage complex layouts and balance detailed functionality with clean, professional design.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to present design concepts to stakeholders and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Project Portfolio: A portfolio demonstrating experience in catalog design, technical manuals, or retail-focused visual communications.
