Job Summary:
The Site Superintendent is responsible for the leadership, coordination, and oversight of multiple field crews across various job sites. This individual plays a key role in ensuring that all projects are executed on time, within budget, and according to company standards of quality and safety. The Site Superintendent acts as a liaison between the field teams, foremen, and internal departments such as Estimating and Sales. A strong focus on communication, planning, and leadership is essential for success in this role.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Estimating and Sales teams to review job plans, stock lists, and scope of work; communicate and address any changes proactively.
  • Manage and oversee multiple job sites and field crews simultaneously, ensuring work is progressing according to schedule and within budget.
  • Provide strong, positive leadership to promote teamwork, accountability, and jobsite excellence.
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with customers and General Contractors, representing the company with professionalism and integrity.
  • Ensure all materials, manpower, and documentation (Foreman packs, permits, schedules) are in place prior to job startup.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to Foremen, ensuring they understand project expectations and properly utilize tools like Buildertrend for documentation and communication.
  • Review Foreman’s project plans and schedules, ensuring alignment with overall goals and timelines.
  • Support Foremen throughout the duration of each project by walking jobs weekly, providing problem-solving assistance, and ensuring consistent service quality.
  • Track job progress, monitor crew performance, document any issues or changes, and communicate updates to the internal team.
  • Maintain records of schedule adjustments, material changes, and customer or contractor communications.
  • Ensure adherence to company safety standards and jobsite protocols at all times.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficient in using project management software (Buildertrend experience preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret site plans, construction drawings, and job specifications.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college or technical education in construction management or related field preferred.

  • Experience working with subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams.
  • Prior use of Buildertrend or similar construction management platforms preferred.
Physical Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Ability to work on active construction sites in varying weather conditions.
  • Must be able to walk, bend, climb, and stand for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting of materials and tools up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable driving to and from job sites as needed.
  • Ability to conduct on-site walkthroughs and visual inspections of work areas.
  • A current and valid US driver’s license is required.
