Job description

Description
The Analyst, Visual Merchandising & Display supports the Sr. Manager, Visual Merchandising & Store Design in bringing the Lamps Plus showroom experience to life across our retail footprint. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role that translates the Sr. Manager's vision, standards, and direction into clean, consistent, on-brand presentations in every store.
Working under established guidelines, planograms, and seasonal directives, the Analyst coordinates day-to-day visual merchandising activities, partners closely with field teams and the Carpentry team, and helps ensure floor sets, signage, and displays are executed accurately and on time. The role is ideal for a detail-oriented, organized merchandiser who thrives on flawless execution and supporting a senior creative lead rather than setting overall strategy.
What You'll Do
Execution Support (Primary Focus)
  • Carry out the floor sets, resets, and display installations defined by the Sr. Manager, following approved planograms, layouts, and directives.
  • Implement seasonal and promotional changeovers in alignment with the Sr. Manager's calendar, ensuring stores transition on time.
  • Style lighting, dรฉcor, and accessory displays to the visual standards and room-setting concepts provided by the Sr. Manager.
  • Help maintain consistency of brand presentation across stores; flag deviations or gaps for the Sr. Manager's review.
Field & Store Team Support
  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for store teams on visual merchandising questions, directives, and troubleshooting.
  • Distribute merchandising toolkits, planograms, display guides, and installation instructions prepared or approved by the Sr. Manager.
  • Conduct showroom walkthroughs, photo audits, and compliance reviews; share findings and recommended actions with the Sr. Manager.
  • Reinforce established presentation standards with field teams and help coach them on proper execution (without owning team leadership).
Carpentry & Installation Coordination
  • Partner with the Carpentry team to coordinate production, delivery, and installation of fixtures, props, and merchandising elements at the direction of the Sr. Manager.
  • Track installation timelines, sample requests, and prop/display material orders for store initiatives, remodels, and new store openings.
  • Support on-site execution of large-scale resets and floor changes, ensuring electrical, safety, and structural requirements are met per approved specifications.
Project Coordination & Administration
  • Maintain project timelines, trackers, image libraries, and communication archives for the VM & Store Design function.
  • Manage vendor communication and order follow-up under direction from the Sr. Manager; the Sr. Manager owns vendor strategy, negotiation, and budget.
  • Prepare meeting materials, recap notes, and execution updates for the Sr. Manager and cross-functional partners.
  • Help organize merchandising presentations and reference materials for field rollout.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Store Operations, Merchandising, Marketing, and Training as a day-to-day liaison on VM execution items.
  • Escalate strategic questions, scope changes, and creative direction decisions to the Sr. Manager rather than resolving independently.
Trend & Customer Experience Awareness
  • Stay informed on lighting, home dรฉcor, and retail presentation trends; share observations and reference imagery with the Sr. Manager to inform strategy.
  • Identify execution-level opportunities to improve clarity, cleanliness, and customer flow in stores.
What You'll Bring
  • Experience: 3-5 years in visual merchandising, retail display, showroom presentation, or related retail operations - ideally in a supporting or execution-focused capacity.
  • Strengths: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable; takes pride in flawless follow-through on someone else's vision.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable interfacing with store teams, vendors, and the Carpentry shop.
  • Technical: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams). Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or SketchUp is a plus but not required.
  • Style: Strong creative eye for visual presentation and styling, with an emphasis on consistency over reinvention.
  • Mindset: Collaborative, service-oriented, and energized by enabling others - particularly the Sr. Manager and field teams - to succeed.
  • Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Visual Merchandising, Interior Design, Marketing, Retail Merchandising, Communications, or related field preferred.
Key Competencies
  • Execution & Follow-Through
  • Visual Merchandising & Styling to Established Standards
  • Project Coordination & Organization
  • Field & Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Communication & Documentation
  • Attention to Detail
  • Adaptability in a Fast-Paced Environment
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to move and arrange fixtures, displays, signage, and merchandise.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to travel to retail store locations to support merchandising execution.

Pay Range: $80,000 - $85,000
