Job description

Primary Function

The Bulk Merchandiser is responsible for fully stocking, rotating, and maintaining company merchandise in retail accounts to ensure product availability, display standards, and customer satisfaction. Utilization of a personal vehicle is required to service assigned accounts.This position serves the North Market, which encompasses, but is not limited to, Henderson, Oxford, Roxboro, and Creedmoor.


Key Responsibilities

  • Stock, rotate, clean, and maintain product in shelves, coolers, fast lanes, and promotional displays according to company standards. 
  • Maintain accurate inventory and ordering records using approved systems. 
  • Arrange merchandise to maximize visual appeal and sales performance. 
  • Organize backroom inventory as needed and ensure proper product handling. 
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment and ensure proper accounting of product and assets. 
  • Provide professional customer service and maintain positive relationships with account personnel. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required. 
  • Valid North Carolina driver’s license required; personal vehicle utilization is required for this role. 
  • Must maintain and provide valid vehicle registration and insurance in accordance with company and state requirements. 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a strong driving record. 
  • Minimum six (6) months of experience in stocking, route delivery, merchandising, or retail preferred. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with availability for weekends and most holidays. 
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, lift up to 30 pounds overhead, push and pull product frequently, and perform frequent bending, kneeling, and stooping. 
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for up to eight (8) hours per day. 
  • Availability to work until all daily duties are completed. 
  • Demonstrated dependability, integrity, initiative, attention to detail, and strong customer service skills. 
  • Ability to pass required background checks, Motor Vehicle Report review, and company drug testing requirements.
