Job description

Birmingham Wholesale Furniture , we are celebrating this year our 75th year in business. We are the  premier destination for high-end, design-forward furniture in Birmingham. Our showroom is a curated space where style, quality, and exceptional service meet. We’re seeking a talented Showroom Merchandiser who loves storytelling through displays and can elevate the customer experience with visually stunning, cohesive environments.

The Role:
As Showroom Merchandiser, you will create and maintain aspirational, on-brand displays that drive engagement and sales. You’ll partner with Sales, Buying, and Marketing to bring collections to life, ensure our showroom reflects current trends, and deliver a first-class shopping experience for every guest.

What You’ll Do:
  • Design and maintain immersive showroom displays that tell compelling product stories and align with brand standards.
  • Plan and execute seasonal resets, product launches, and promotional campaigns.
  • Create and manage floor plans, sightlines, and merchandising layouts to maximize flow and conversions.
  • Source, style, and maintain props, signage, lighting, and collateral; ensure consistent branding and pricing accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Visual Merchandising teams to optimize product placement and inventory presentation.
  • Maintain showroom upkeep, safety, cleanliness, and product care; assist with event setups and VIP previews.
  • Stay current on luxury home trends, materials, and finishes; document learnings for the team.
  • Maintain a merchandise calendar and assist with procurement coordination when needed.

Who You Are:
  • 2-5+ years in visual merchandising, showroom merchandising, or high-end retail/furniture.
  • Strong eye for color, texture, scale, and storytelling; a natural sense of proportion and composition.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Able to stand for extended periods, bend, reach, lift up to 40 lbs, and climb a ladder when necessary.
  • Great schedule , weekdays only . Saturdays and Sundays are off.
  • Portfolio or samples of previous display work strongly preferred.
