Do you have an eye for design and display? If so, we have the perfect job for you! As NFM’s Visual Merchandiser, you will be responsible for creating a compelling customer experience by ensuring that room settings and stand-alone displays are cohesive, on-trend, and inspiring. This will be accomplished while taking initiative to add additional responsibilities, projects, and tasks to support Visual initiatives within the store.

Job Duties: A Day in the Life

  • Set the Stage: Create the overall appearance of assigned department while demonstrating an eye for quality detail with regard to design and composition, in keeping with brand standards
  • Play Your Part: Approach tasks and deadlines with a sense of focus, urgency and attention to detail while delivering high quality work
  • Communicate: Collaborate with Merchandising, Display, Facilities, and Visual Leadership to streamline planning and implementation of moves, spotlights, and floor sets
  • Be the Expert: Keep up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and market trends
  • Maintain: Implement visual merchandising strategies and current trends to support the store and drive sales
  • Leave your Mark: Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers through professionalism, ownership and initiative

Qualifications: Can You Check These Boxes?

  • Associate’s degree in merchandising, display, design, art or related area or equivalent experience required
  • 3 years of visual display or related experience, preferably in a retail home furnishings or fashion-related business required
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Good color vision and the ability to coordinate colors and styles
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision
  • Computer skills to include MS Office applications required
  • Ability to work nights and/or weekends. Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs
