Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team at Folding Guard. The Quality Inspector will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability before they reach our customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of a dynamic company dedicated to excellence in manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough visual and dimensional inspections of incoming raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
  • Accurately record inspection results, deviations, and non-conformities in designated quality control forms and databases. Generate reports summarizing inspection findings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and identify root causes of quality issues, and work towards implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment, ensuring that they are in proper working order to guarantee accurate measurements.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of enhanced quality control procedures.
  • Stay up to date with industry standards and regulations, ensuring that our products adhere to all relevant quality and safety requirements.
  • Effectively communicate with production teams, engineering, and management to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist in the training of production staff on quality standards and procedures to promote a culture of quality consciousness.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment, preferably in metalworking or fabrication.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Proficient in reading engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Familiarity with inspection equipment and tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems is a plus.

Education:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional certifications in quality control or related fields are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions, including standing, kneeling, and bending for extended periods.
