**JOB DESCRIPTION**
**Job Title: Visual Communication Specialist
Job Code: 880373**
Immediate Supervisor: -Marketing Manager
Status: Non-exempt
**DEPARTMENT FUNCTION/JOB OVERVIEW** * Serves as the graphic designer for both internal and external communication across all business lines and a variety of channels. * Manages and applies brand standards for consistency. * Uses creativity and visual problem solving in translating strategic objectives into design elements and communication, for the purpose of growing market share and brand awareness, improving customer and employee experience and driving patient volumes. * Responsible for the creation of print materials, including project coordinating, designing, proofing and pre-press preparation for publications, collateral, advertisements and other printed materials using discretion and independent judgment. * Contributes to Madonna's digital content and marketing strategy by coordinating with strategists and stakeholders to create compelling and effective imagery and graphics. * Collaborates with department staff and others on special projects to ensure brand alignment and achievement of department and organization goals. Work will be performed in an ethical and legal manner following organizational policies, processes, protocols and procedures. * Responsible for quality service delivery and internal/external customer relations for Madonna as a whole, including upholding the mission and values for the department and facility.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
1. Track project assignments to include quality and deadline-meeting standards. 2. Develop creative communication materials for all lines of business. 3. Serve as graphic designer and brand expert developing of a broad variety of print and digital materials, including: publications, collateral, advertisements, social media content and event promotion materials. 4. Promotes the corporate brand personality and protects brand standards in all materials. 5. Work with internal stakeholders and creative partners to develop insight-driven and brand appropriate creative work aimed at motivating targeted consumers to take action. 6. Collaborate with cross-functional leads (digital, media, content) and external partners to take ideas from conception to realization. 7. Collects and gathers information and research data and provide analysis to help plan, develop and implement successful communication strategies. 8. Participate in strategic marketing planning and implement marketing tactics to support assigned line of business in achieving its corporate goals. 9. Collaborates and communicates effectively with all teams to promote and adhere to content management strategy that sees the department developing content and repurposing it over multiple channels. 10. Keep abreast of changes in Madonna's services and products and revises/updates collateral as necessary. 11. Must be dedicated to ensuring exceptional quality and meeting timeline and budget requirements. 12. Interacts and communicates with all internal and external parties in a respectful, courteous, friendly and compassionate manner in accordance with Madonna's mission to ensure quality service delivery. 13. Collaborate with stakeholders and content owners to plan and create deliverables that maintain subject-matter accuracy while being effective pieces of visual communication. 14. Effectively collaborates with all Madonna personnel (leadership and others) relative to brand management issues. 15. Keeps supervisor, department and clients abreast of workflow and/or project matters. 16. Follows instruction from supervisor to perform other functions as assigned in order to achieve the goals of the department and organization. 17. Competently uses word processing, desktop publishing and website development software, including Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. 18. Able to operate a personal computer, printer, calculator, telephone and other office equipment. 19. Maintains and ensures a safe and clean environment for the department. 20. Handles and operates all necessary equipment and performs required duties according to established safety standards to maintain compliance with regulations and prevent injury. 21. Perform basic production tasks, including printing, cutting, trimming, gluing and binding materials to support project completion.
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS**
Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in a clear, articulate and professional manner. Must be able to manage multiple projects and prioritize to meet project deadlines and expectations.
Performs essentially sedentary work - lifting 30 pounds occasionally. Some climbing and balancing to reach supplies stored on high shelves. Some stooping and crouching to do filing. Frequent reaching, handling various documents.
**QUALIFICATIONS** (Education/training and/or Experience) * Requires Bachelor's degree in graphic design, marketing, communications, or related field OR Associate degree with emphasis in graphic design, marketing, communication, or related field and two years related and applicable work experience. * Additional four years applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of degree. * Video graphics experience preferred. * Familiarity with high-end photography and video equipment is preferred. * Must have demonstrated knowledge of personal computers, word processing, graphic design and website content management systems. * Must have working knowledge of pre-press,technical requirements for print publications. * Must have excellent grammar, spelling, writing and organizational skills with the ability to problem solve. * Must be able to work in demandingsituations without adverse reaction. * Must be able to interact and collaborate with staff andpublic, in person, via video conference and by telephone in a positive manner.
