Job Summary:
Visual Comfort & Co. is a leading provider of decorative and architectural lighting solutions. The AI Data Specialist will support the development of the Scope AI agent by managing data, refining user interactions, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure the accuracy and utility of AI outputs.
Responsibilities:
• Work with others on the Scope team to achieve key development and implementation milestones on the AI agent roadmap.
• Develop, manage, and maintain data related to products, design applications, design standards, and other lighting & technology topics for use with our Scope AI agent.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as design and project engineering to source and review new content and material.
• Analyze outputs from the AI agent on an ongoing basis to continually improve accuracy and utility.
• Assist with prompt engineering to refine AI agent responses and enhance user interaction.
• Attend industry specific trainings and stay current on technologies and products.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree required in data management, data analytics, information systems, computer science, or a related field.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with large spreadsheets and data sets.
• Aptitude for part numbers and technical details.
• Tech-savvy, able to quickly pick up the use of new apps and software.
• Enjoys digging deep to learn how systems and products function, relate to one another, and contribute to the living experience in a home.
• Curious and self-driven with an entrepreneurial, growth-mindset.
• Team-oriented to collaborate effectively with peers. Mission-oriented, willing to jump in and take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to get the job done.
• Ability to work independently, make decisions and complete tasks within an established timeline with limited supervision.
Preferred:
• 0-2 years of relevant experience with AI models or software/app development preferred. Relevant internships, co-ops, or substantial academic projects will be considered in lieu of professional experience.
• Experience in architecture, lighting, or engineering preferred.
