Job Title: Lead Designer - Teva
Reports to: Sr. Manager, Product Line - Outdoor Performance
Location: Goleta, CA - Hybrid
Typically 3 times per week in office, Tuesday - Thursday
The Role
As Lead Designer - Teva, you will be a passionate member of the Teva Design team, driving innovative product creation that stays true to the brand's DNA. You'll support the design process in a collaborative environment, translating briefs and market trends into globally relevant, commercial designs. Your work will capture new markets, increase consumer demand, and deliver on design assignments with creativity and precision.

Your Impact
  • Apply market research, trend insight, and knowledge to interpret briefs and develop new design concepts.
  • Create illustrations and technical drawings for new designs, detailing concept, materials, and development specifications based on Teva brand guidelines.
  • Prepare and present design projects, clearly communicating design vision to stakeholders.
  • Execute and manage tech/design packages, ensuring accuracy and adherence to digital template guidelines.
  • Collaborate with development and engineering teams to ensure design objectives are reflected in product creation.
  • Review prototypes and update tech packs to reflect changes and modifications.
  • Manage seasonal creation timelines, supporting peers and proactively meeting design deadlines.
  • Drive multiple design projects from conceptualization to finished product, adhering to calendar deadlines.
  • Consult with development and engineering teams to design products within pricing goals and implement 3D design into the process.
  • Travel internationally to factory partners at key development cycles.
  • Mentor and assist other team members, presenting products and design processes at internal meetings, tradeshows, and media.

Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 6+ years related design experience, footwear preferred.
  • Experience creating technical drawings, especially working on Tech Packs and Blueprints.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, MAC OS, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Romans CAD, and other 3D rendering/prototyping software.
  • Ability to prepare and present information in a visually compelling way and articulate creative concepts to a broad audience.
  • Knowledge of current trends and the ability to interpret them.
  • Highly motivated team player and self-starter.
  • Ability to translate and communicate visual concepts into clear, compelling presentations.
  • Excellent verbal, visual, and written communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working effectively in complex global organizations.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, deadline and process driven; exceptional attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of product design, construction techniques, and appropriate use of materials, including extensive knowledge of outsole construction techniques, last making, materials, color, etc.
  • Good understanding of the interdependency between design and development processes; ability to conceptualize and translate from 2D to 3D.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with development team, sales, marketing, and merchandisers on product design goals and process.
