Job description

SolidWorks Designer will work with our customers and help them to solve issues, design their unique solutions, and maintain optimal compliance and throughput. The designer will utilize pneumatics, hydraulics, and any other such system components necessary to provide solutions for our clientsโ€™ needs. This position requires familiarity with equipment and layout drawings. Utilizes pneumatics, hydraulics, and any other such system components necessary to provide our customers with information and solutions needed to solve issues, design their unique solutions, and maintain optimal compliance and throughput.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Includes but not limited to:

  • Creating models, blueprints or visual renders of current mechanical designs.
  • Conducting design reviews for existing assemblies with other relevant departments.
  • Develops DriveWorks configuration projects to automate the creation of assemblies and prints for our manufacturing plant.
  • Providing and maintaining documentation regarding the fabrication
  • Continuous Design Improvement
  • New Product Design/Development
  • Technical Documentation Content
  • Maintain/Update existing CAD Library

ENVIRONMENT & WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Able to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Able to accommodate climate controlled environment uncontrolled climate environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to travel when required
  • Lift 25 lbs unassisted
  • Ability to work inside of the office or inside of the production facility
  • Ability to see clearly with eyes to operate a computer and handle written communication via email and other items
  • Ability to hear audibly with ears to communicate conversations via telephone and in person
  • Ability to travel (via airplane as necessary per position) as position requires
  • Ability to work overtime when necessary/required and with short notice
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions as job requires working inside and outside through the course of a single shift
  • Able to deal with heights up to 20 feet

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:ย 

  • A person with Solid Works experience required, CSWA or CSWP certification preferred
  • Someone preferably with a two-year degree or higher in Engineering
  • Demonstrable proficiency in the utilization of the Microsoft office suite software programs
  • Possession of a valid driverโ€™s license (not rated as a high-risk driver), and must be able to qualify for a TWIC card
