Ekornes is offering a unique opportunity by looking for the company’s new Design Manager who will lead the development and creation of smart and stylish solutions to exquisite quality. Responsibilities- Design of furniture across all brands /categories: Stressless®, IMG and Svane®
- Influence the development and product creation of existing and new models
- Develop Visual design guidelines and design briefs
- Create and inspire a strong team, with responsibility for 2-4 inhouse designers and cooperation with external design teams
The position will be reporting to SVP Commercial Nordic Ole Bastian Emdal and will be located in Sykkylven, Norway.
QualificationsThe right candidate has a minimum of 5 years of design-experience, preferably in furniture-related products, experience with material use, soft components, forms, and textiles. Relevant experience from physical products is a must, with understanding of the total product lifecycle from trend, design, production, market and sales. Experience from both high-end and mass-market design-products is an advantage. Preferably you have been working with an international market and have had leadership experience. You should have a strong visual and aesthetic competence with the ability to visualize and communicate aesthetical and functional product benefits. A relevant education within the design field and international experience are two strong criteria of selection.
