We are seeking a Pediatric Ophthalmologist to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of eye conditions in children, from vision development concerns to complex surgical needs such as cataracts, glaucoma, strabismus, and retinopathy of prematurity (ROP). This physician will provide comprehensive pediatric eye care while communicating effectively with patients and families and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Opportunities for teaching and mentorship may also be available.

Candidate Qualifications
  • Board-certified Ophthalmologist (MD/DO) with fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology

  • Strong understanding of visual development and pediatric eye conditions

  • Expertise in strabismus and pediatric surgical procedures

  • Excellent clinical, surgical, and interpersonal skills

  • Commitment to teamwork, research, and education

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Diagnose and treat vision problems, including amblyopia and refractive errors

  • Manage pediatric eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, infections, and ROP

  • Perform microsurgery, laser surgery, and complex eye muscle procedures

  • Provide consultations for systemic conditions affecting the eyes

  • Conduct age-appropriate pediatric eye exams and educate families on eye health

  • Prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses

  • Collaborate with pediatricians, neonatologists, and other specialists to ensure coordinated care
