Job description

Middlebury Eye Associates has been serving the community of Vermont with quality care for over 30 years. As the leading Optometrists in our community, we take pride in providing personalized vision care tailored to our patientโ€™s needs. We offer primary eye services such as comprehensive eye exams, contact lens services, eyewear, medical treatments, and emergency eye care. Approximately 40% of the services we offer are vision exams and 60% are related to medical diagnosis and treatments. Our patient population includes all ages.

We are a dedicated team who works together on creating a warm atmosphere where each of our team members feels supported by one another. Our team currently consists of 6 experienced Optometrists, 3 opticians, 5 technicians/front desk staff/jack-of-all trades, and 1 office manager. This team is the best we've ever had and we are seeking an optometrist to add to our ever improving team. Our technicians handle all pre-testing, history, and initial data entry so our Optometrists are able to fully focus on patient care. On average, our Optometrists perform about 9 comprehensive exams per day with 3-4 brief office visits/problem focused visits. Our practice has 4 fully equipped exam lanes and state-of-the-art technology:

  • Humphrey visual fields
  • Zeiss OCT
  • Anterior photography
  • Optos
  • Autorefractor/Topographer

Middlebury, which is located in Addison County, is considered one of the best places to live in Vermont. There are many outdoor activities to keep you active such as hiking, skiing, biking and more. Residents of the community are only a driving distance away from Montreal, Boston, and New York making it easy for a weekend getaway. The high rated public schools make it the perfect place for families to live too.
