Resident Care Associate (RCA) / Caregiver - Freedom Village Holland
Currently Hiring: Part-Time • 1st Shift (6am-2pm)
Pay: $14.50-$15.00/hr (base rate)
Sign-On Bonus: $2,000 PT / $3,500 FT
Shift Differentials: +$3.00/$5.00 (2nd/3rd shifts)
Opportunities: Full-Time & Part-Time
About the Role
  • Assist licensed nursing staff with activities of daily living
  • Support residents with dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, eating, and mobility
  • Provide routine care to promote independence and dignity
  • Serve as a stepping-stone to becoming a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)
  • Freedom Village pays for CNA classes + state testing through MTEC
  • Guaranteed promotion and pay increase once certified
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with dressing, grooming, bathing, positioning, and exercising
  • Perform basic treatments, tests, and procedures as instructed
  • Record observations and care provided
  • Transfer, transport, and escort residents
  • Answer call lights promptly
  • Change linens, make beds, and maintain clean resident rooms
  • Maintain safe and sanitary work areas
  • Encourage independence and participation in activities
  • Attend in-service training and education sessions
  • Complete additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Prior geriatric experience preferred
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to document care accurately
  • Ability to perform simple arithmetic
