What is Vision America?

Vision America is a network of specialty eye care centers and clinics that partner with local optometrists to provide advanced ophthalmic care. Their services typically include cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment, retina services, and other specialized eye procedures. The organization works collaboratively with referring optometrists to ensure patients receive comprehensive and coordinated eye care. Vision America aims to make advanced eye care accessible while maintaining strong relationships with local eye doctors.

What does a typical day look like for an employee at Vision America, and how do team members collaborate across different locations?

At Vision America, a typical day involves patient care, coordinating with ophthalmologists and optometrists, and managing appointments or testing procedures. Team members often collaborate across clinics and administrative offices using digital communication tools to share patient information and coordinate care plans. Regular staff meetings and training sessions foster a supportive environment, and employees are encouraged to engage in cross-functional projects that contribute to both personal growth and organizational improvement.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an ophthalmic technician at Vision America, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Ophthalmic Technician, you need a solid understanding of eye anatomy, clinical procedures, and patient care, typically supported by a high school diploma and on-the-job training or certification (such as COT or COA). Familiarity with ophthalmic instruments, electronic medical records (EMR) systems, and diagnostic equipment like OCT and visual field analyzers is crucial. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and a patient-focused attitude help you excel in supporting both patients and ophthalmologists. These skills ensure accurate assessments, efficient workflows, and high-quality patient experiences in a fast-paced eye care environment.

Director of Sales – North America

High Sec Labs (HSL)

Location

Huntsville, Alabama (On-Site)

About HSL

High Sec Labs (HSL) is a global leader in the development of secure KVM (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) switch technologies and signal isolation solutions. Our products are trusted worldwide to safeguard sensitive data at the desktop, in operations centers, and in meeting rooms by bridging the gap between isolated networks in the most secure environments on earth.

We are seeking an entrepreneurial, high-performing Director of Sales to spearhead our expansion and drive revenue growth across the North American market.

Position Overview

As the Director of Sales for North America, you will own the regional go-to-market strategy, build high-performing sales channels, and directly accelerate revenue growth. You will be responsible for expanding HSL’s footprint across federal agencies, the Department of Defense (DoD), defense contractors, aerospace, and heavily regulated commercial sectors including critical infrastructure, banking, and healthcare.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of selling audio-visual solutions through government and system integrator channels.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the North American sales strategy to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities across federal, defense, and regulated commercial sectors.

Channel & Partner Management

  • Build, nurture, and expand relationships with government contractors, systems integrators, and value-added resellers.
  • Develop strategic partnerships that strengthen HSL’s presence in the federal and defense ecosystem.

Direct Sales & Account Acquisition

  • Lead high-value, complex sales cycles with federal agencies, defense contractors, and enterprise clients.
  • Drive new business development while expanding existing customer relationships.

Market Positioning

  • Position HSL’s secure KVM and signal isolation portfolio against competitors by emphasizing compliance advantages, technical superiority, and hardware-level isolation capabilities.
  • Represent HSL at trade shows, industry events, and customer demonstrations.

Team Leadership

  • Mentor and scale a lean, agile team of sales professionals and support engineering managers as the business grows.
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative sales culture.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as the voice of the North American customer by working closely with product management and engineering teams.
  • Help align the product roadmap with evolving U.S. cybersecurity mandates and customer requirements.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of sales leadership experience in audio-visual solutions, hardware cybersecurity, secure network infrastructure, or specialized IT peripherals.
  • Previous experience managing a successful sales team.
  • Deep understanding of federal procurement processes, defense acquisition cycles, and system integrator ecosystems.
  • Strong familiarity with ProAV environments and the importance of secure KVMs in multi-domain or cross-domain environments.
  • Proven ability to grow revenue and develop strategic customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with HSL’s Israel-based headquarters.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary with aggressive, uncapped commission structure (OTE)
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Accident, life, short-term disability, and long-term disability coverage
  • 401(k) matching program
  • Opportunity to join a growing global cybersecurity and secure communications leader

Work Environment

  • Full-time, on-site position located in Huntsville, Alabama
  • Frequent travel required throughout North America

Apply Today

If you are a strategic sales leader with experience in government, defense, or cybersecurity-focused technologies and are ready to help expand HSL’s North American presence, we encourage you to apply.
