Virtual Wedding Assistant information

What is a virtual wedding assistant?

Virtual Wedding Assistants are professionals who provide remote support to couples planning their weddings. They help manage tasks such as scheduling appointments, communicating with vendors, tracking budgets, creating timelines, and offering planning advice—all online or by phone. Virtual Wedding Assistants are ideal for couples who want expert help without hiring a full-service, in-person wedding planner. Their services can be customized to fit a couple’s specific needs and budget. This flexible approach makes wedding planning more accessible and less stressful.

How does a virtual wedding assistant typically collaborate with clients and vendors throughout the planning process?

A Virtual Wedding Assistant works closely with clients via email, video calls, and project management tools to keep planning on track, share updates, and address concerns. They also coordinate with vendors by handling communications, scheduling appointments, and ensuring all details align with the couple's vision. This role requires excellent organization and communication skills, as the assistant often acts as a central point of contact, ensuring everyone is informed and any issues are resolved quickly. Regular check-ins and clear documentation help maintain a smooth workflow and reduce the stress of remote coordination.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a virtual wedding assistant, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Virtual Wedding Assistant, you need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a background in event planning or hospitality. Familiarity with project management software, virtual meeting platforms, and calendar management tools is often required. Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability are crucial soft skills for supporting clients remotely. These skills ensure seamless coordination, client satisfaction, and the successful execution of virtual wedding events.

Job description

Join a Company That's Redefining Men's Formal Wear

Perfect Tux isn't your typical local tuxedo shop.

We're one of the nation's leading online retailers of men's and boys' formal wear, proudly serving 40,000+ customers across the country. We combine the convenience of e-commerce with the personalized service of our retail showroom, creating a unique shopping experience for weddings, prom, church, black-tie events, and every special occasion.

We're a growing company that embraces technology, values great ideas, and believes exceptional customer experiences are what set us apart. If you're looking for a place where you can learn, grow, and make a real impact, we'd love to meet you.

About the Role

We're looking for an organized, personable, and tech-savvy Customer Experience Coordinator who loves helping people.

This role is much more than answering phones or emails. You'll be one of the primary points of contact for our customers, helping guide them through one of the most important purchases they'll make for weddings, prom, and other life events.

You'll communicate with customers through phone, email, and live chat, coordinate wedding parties, assist showroom guests when needed, and help create an outstanding experience from the customer's first question through delivery of their order.

No two days are exactly the same, and that's one of the things our team enjoys most.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver exceptional customer service through phone, email, and live chat.
  • Help customers navigate our website and answer product questions.
  • Take customer orders over the phone.
  • Provide product recommendations and style guidance for men's formal wear.
  • Coordinate wedding parties from initial inquiry through ordering, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for the bride, groom, and wedding party.
  • Schedule and assist with wedding consultations (virtual and in-store).
  • Assist showroom customers as needed during busy periods.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure an exceptional experience.
  • Complete general administrative tasks and customer follow-up.
  • Contribute to our culture as a growing e-commerce and social media-focused company.

What We're Looking For (Required Qualifications)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service experience.
  • Comfortable using computers and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software and technology.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
  • Retail or customer-facing experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Live chat and email customer support experience.
  • Shopify experience.
  • Men's formal wear or fashion experience.
  • Wedding or event industry experience.
  • Experience taking customer measurements.
  • Sales experience.
  • Social media familiarity.

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Friendly and genuinely enjoys helping people.
  • Organized and dependable.
  • Fashion-conscious.
  • Sales-minded without being pushy.
  • Comfortable multitasking.
  • A quick learner.
  • Positive, professional, and team-oriented.
  • Excited to grow with a growing company.

This Role May Not Be the Right Fit If You...

  • Prefer working independently with little customer interaction.
  • Don't enjoy learning new technology or software.
  • Struggle to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Need constant direction or supervision.
  • Prefer doing the same task every day.

Why You'll Love Working Here

  • Join a growing company with opportunities for advancement.
  • Work in a positive, collaborative environment where your ideas are valued.
  • Learn both e-commerce and retail operations.
  • Paid holidays.
  • Employee discount.
  • Be part of a company that believes in promoting from within.

If you're looking for more than just a job and want to grow with an innovative company that's changing the way people shop for men's formal wear, we'd love to hear from you.
