Job description

OBJECTIVE:
Creative, detail-oriented professional to contribute to communication and marketing efforts for both internal and external audiences. This role involves managing employee communications and promotional items, supporting video recording and editing, assisting with design projects, and helping execute charity programs. Strong skills in video production, project management, and graphic design are a must. Join our Marketing team and help us fulfill our mission of Helping Farmers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other duties as assigned)

  • Manage employee communication efforts, including writing newsletters, organizing webinars, and creating videos, graphics, and other materials.
  • Coordinate and maintain employee materials such as headshots, business cards, nameplates, and professional bios.
  • Support employee engagement programs, including core value initiatives, recognition awards, and leadership recognition events.
  • Oversee the employee apparel store, including managing inventory, placing orders, and fulfilling promotional item requests.
  • Assist with planning and distributing customer and employee Christmas gifts.
  • Schedule, record, and edit virtual sow farm tours; provide support for in-person tours.
  • Support customer and shareholder communication efforts.
  • Execute charity and community programs by coordinating volunteer efforts, managing budgets, collecting and distributing funds, organizing events, and communicating initiatives to employees and the community.
  • Assist with external events, including open houses, customer meetings, and webinars.
  • Contribute to communication and marketing efforts for internal and external audiences, including customer and shareholder communications, through video, design, writing, and presentations.
  • Enhance customer experience by creating and contributing to impactful communication materials and initiatives.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred.
Equivalent experience in a similar role may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Graphic design skills, proficient in Adobe Creative Suites and Canva.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Experience with videography recording and editing.
Ability to multi-task and be flexible in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
A background or knowledge in agriculture is a plus, but is not required.
Work Environment:
This position is primarily based in an office environment with standard business hours.
Ability to work from Brandon, SD or Pipestone, MN as primary location - Pipestone, MN as needed for meetings or special events.
Travel and work outside of standard business hours will be required to support events, farm visits, and community programs.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Standing and moving for extended periods.
Additional Requirements:
Must have a valid driver's license.
Compensation/Benefits:
$24-$31 per hour, depending on experience
