Are you passionate about creating exceptional candidate experiences and helping people take the next step in their career? We are seeking a highly organized, customer-focused Recruitment & Onboarding Specialist to support the recruitment and onboarding of AmeriCorps members across our programs.
In this role, you will work within a collaborative recruitment team, helping connect mission-driven individuals with meaningful service opportunities while ensuring a smooth, welcoming, and efficient hiring experience.
What You'll Do
Create an Outstanding Candidate Experience
  • Provide timely, clear, and professional communication to applicants.
  • Help candidates navigate each step of the selection and onboarding process.

Support Recruitment Operations
  • Post and manage job openings in the applicant tracking system.
  • Review applications, coordinate and conduct phone and final interviews with prospective tutors.
  • Assist with recruitment reporting and data tracking to support recruitment goals.

Coordinate Onboarding Activities
  • Prepare offer letters, service agreements, payroll forms, and other onboarding documents.
  • Implement engagement strategies that help new members stay connected and excited before their service term begins.

Maintain Recruitment Systems and Processes
  • Serve as a resource for recruitment and onboarding technology platforms, including scheduling and electronic signature tools like Acuity Scheduling and Docusign.
  • Support continuous improvement of recruitment processes and interview practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments on projects that support organizational operations and program success.

What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma required, post-secondary degree preferred.
  • At least 1-2 years recruiting experience.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Comfort learning and using technology platforms and databases.
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys helping others succeed.
