Position: Occupational Therapist (OT)

Shift: Full-time Days

Schedule: 8:00am- 5:00pm, weekdays

Signing Bonus: $15,000

Phelps Health Acute Care Occupational Therapy is an integral part of the inpatient care team, providing comprehensive occupational therapy services to adult and geriatric patients across medical, surgical, ICU, and specialty units. Our therapists collaborate closely with physicians, nursing, case management, and rehabilitation colleagues to promote functional independence, safety, and successful discharge planning. Our Acute Care OT team works in a fastโ€‘paced, dynamic environment that values teamwork, clinical excellence, and supports continuous learning and professional growth.

We serve Rolla, Waynesville and the surrounding communities in south-central Missouri.

What you will do in this role:

ยท Put your physical therapy skills to work where they're really needed - evaluate a patient's condition, develop a treatment plan, and help them get better, day by day.

ยท You'll also instruct the nursing staff and the patient's families on follow-through programs that build on the progress they've made

ยท Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records

ยท Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements

ยท Instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs

ยท Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition

ยท Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws

ยท Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

ยท Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program

ยท Current and unrestricted Occupational Therapy license in the state where services are rendered

ยท Current CPR certification

ยท Strong organizational and communication skills

 ยท Accepting new grads
