Position Summary

The Advanced Systems Administration Specialist serves as a technical resource responsible for maintaining and supporting enterprise systems and infrastructure. This role involves system analysis, troubleshooting, and ongoing improvements to ensure systems remain secure, reliable, and aligned with evolving technologies.

The position supports both physical and virtual server environments, including system configuration, software installation, user access management, and performance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of physical and virtual server infrastructure.

  • Monitor server and system performance using enterprise monitoring tools.

  • Identify, isolate, and resolve system issues affecting services or applications.

  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and server software.

  • Perform routine system patching and updates.

  • Conduct system analysis to maintain compatibility with changing technologies.

  • Configure and troubleshoot network interfaces and connectivity for servers.

  • Execute preventive maintenance, system upgrades, and defect resolution tasks.

  • Develop or run scripts to automate repetitive operational processes.

  • Ensure adherence to security policies and operational standards.

  • Maintain accurate system documentation and procedures.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve performance and operational efficiency.

Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of Windows, Linux, and UNIX operating systems.

  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
