Position Title: Full-Time Substitute Teacher for 26/27 school yearReports To: Building level PrincipalPosition Type: Full-Time, Temporary (Long-Term Substitute), Non-exemptPosition OverviewThe Full-Time Long-Term Substitute Teacher provides instructional coverage for a classroom teacher. This role ensures continuity of learning by following established lesson plans, creating lesson plans, maintaining a positive classroom environment, and supporting students' academic and social growth. The ideal candidate demonstrates flexibility, professionalism, and a commitment to student success.

Key ResponsibilitiesFollow established lesson plans, and/or create lesson plans to create a cohesive and consistent learning environment for all students.Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions, and maintain a positive learning environment.Supervise students in and out of the classroom, including in the halls,and in the cafeteria.Provide in-class assignments based on the lesson plan.Possess basic computer skills, utilize smart boards, projectors, and other instructional technology provided by the district.Facilitate virtual learning when necessary.Report suspected abuse, neglect, discrimination, and harassment as directed by board policy. Follow and carry out all other duties assigned by the District QualificationsEducation/Experience: Valid Substitute Teaching Certificate with the Department of Education. A background check using fingerprints is required

This is a benefit eligible position. Benefits include board paid medical insurance and board paid life insurance. Other supplemental insurances are available at the employee's cost.
