Job description

Required Qualifications: (as evidenced by an attached resume)
PhD, MD, or MD/PhD (or foreign equivalent). At least one academic degree in the field of Mathematics, Physics, Biomedical Engineering, or Computer Science.

Preferred Qualifications:

     Prior research experience with PET imaging.

     Prior experience with clinical research in neurocognitive disorders or neurodegenerative diseases.

     At least eight peer-reviewed publications.

Position Summary:  
We are recruiting a Postdoctoral Associate to join our lab studying brain PET imaging for various disease-related targets in patients with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. The Postdoctoral Associate will primarily be responsible for image data analysis including PET pharmacokinetic modeling, developing novel data analysis methods, writing up results for publication in peer-reviewed journals, developing human clinical research protocols, and preparing applications for IRB, RDRC, or IND. The successful applicant will be highly motivated, self-starting, curious, and collaborative. A strong mathematical or computational background and/or programming skill sets will be highly valued. Medical or clinical background will be viewed favorably, but is not a prerequisite for the position. The Postdoctoral Associate should have excellent communication skills. The initial appointment is expected to be for two years, but could be extended pending sufficient funding and mutual interest.

Duties:

     PET and MRI data analysis

     Scientific writing, including peer-reviewed publications and grant applications

     Human clinical research protocol development and preparation for regulatory reviews

     Lab management, supervision, and teaching

     Other duties as assigned

FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
