Requirements

Candidate should:

  • Have an academic background in their area of study
  • Demonstrate curriculum knowledge and the ability to follow standards based instruction in a resourceful manner, to plan and deliver engaging learning opportunities and activities for maximum effectiveness
  • Must be able to integrate ACT/SAT prep into classroom curriculum and support the development of academic habits and college readiness to prepare students for college success
  • Be proficient in the daily use and integration of technology in the educational environment
  • Stay abreast of current research and educational best practices by evidence of pursuing continual professional development
  • Be a skilled communicator and have the ability to work effectively with students, parents, peers, administrators and other
  • Have the ability to assess levels of student achievement, analyze test results and deliver instruction to varied learners
  • Applicants should have a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in related field
  • Valid Florida teacher certification in the subject area or eligibility to be certified
  • High school teaching experience preferred
  • Employment is contingent on the applicant passing a full background check
  • Communicates regularly with parents/guardians, colleagues and principal;
  • Attends required faculty and staff meetings;
  • Cooperates with the principal and staff members in school-related meetings, activities and projects;
