Job description

HB NEXT is seeking an experienced Safety Consultant to join our growing team in the Atlanta area. This role is ideal for a self-motivated, high-integrity professional who thrives in fast-paced construction environments and is driven to deliver high-quality results.

This position combines field inspections, client consulting, and safety training, supporting construction teams in maintaining compliance and building safer job sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct safety inspections on active construction sites
  • Identify hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards
  • Deliver on-site and virtual safety training and education
  • Consult with clients, project managers, and field teams on best practices
  • Prepare clear, timely, and accurate reports using company systems
  • Build strong, professional relationships with clients and project teams
  • Travel throughout the Southeast region (overnight and occasional weekend travel required)

Qualifications
  • 5–10 years of commercial or industrial construction experience
  • Prior safety experience as a Superintendent, Project Manager, or Safety Professional
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety practices
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills
  • Highly organized, dependable, and able to work independently
  • OSHA certifications (OSHA 30 or higher) preferred

Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regionally
  • Ability to work flexible hours (not a standard 8–5 role)
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and 15-year background check
