Our rehabilitation teams provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. We offer customized, individualized rehabilitation tailored to the specific needs of those recovering from a stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.
How you'll contribute
A Registered Nurse (RN) Nurse Educator who excels in this role:
  • Adheres to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and The Joint Commission (TJC) standards and/or standards from other accrediting bodies.
  • Coordinating the general orientation, clinical orientation, evaluating the effectiveness of educational programs.
  • Conducts a learning needs assessment of the organization *(annually and periodically) and staff by department as required by accrediting agencies
    Implements training and educational offerings in coordination and collaboration with leadership to meet the learning needs.
  • Validates individual completion of required training assigned annually and periodically.
  • Reports the training programs, numbers trained to appropriate committee structures up to and including the Board through the Director.
    Evaluates quality of patient care according to professional standards
    Maintains a current list of the certifications required by job description for individuals by department
  • Assists with the implementation and enforcement of the Joint Commission, Medicare, Conditions of Participation and other applicable regulations and standards.
  • Acts as a resource for patient and/or family health education.
    The Educator is the administrator of the HealthStream Life talent, Job descriptions, and competency software
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • The educator has the authority and responsibility of supervision all orientation programs and has indirect supervisory responsibility for new employees when involved in educational programs or processes.

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a current Pennsylvania or compact state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
  • Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred; Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) preferred.
  • Experience: Six months of Medical/Surgical experience preferred.
  • Licenses: Must have a current Pennsylvania or compact state RN license.
  • Education: Associate's degree required. BSN preferred.
  • Registered Nurse licensed to work in the state of Pennsylvania
