Position Overview:

  • Provide skilled nursing care in a school-based setting by supporting daily health office needs, responding to illnesses and injuries, and covering staff absences.
  • Administer scheduled medications, conduct health assessments, and maintain accurate daily health logs in accordance with district protocols.
  • Provide one-on-one nursing care to students with specific healthcare needs on an as-needed basis.
  • Collaborate with school staff to promote a safe, healthy learning environment while supporting compliance with individual student health plans.

Qualifications: 

  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Practical Nursing diploma
  • Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) License
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certifications
  • Previous experience in pediatrics or school nursing preferred
