We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PRE/PACU Registered Nurse to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality healthcare.

**Job Summary:**
The PRE/PACU Registered Nurse will provide pre-operative and post-anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgical procedures related to ophthalmology. This role requires a skilled nursing professional who can effectively assess, plan, and implement nursing care based on patient needs before and after anesthesia. The nurse will serve a critical role in monitoring patients' recovery and ensuring their comfort and safety.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Assess patients' conditions preoperatively and ensure readiness for eye surgery.
- Monitor and document patients’ vital signs and responses post-anesthesia.
- Provide compassionate care and support to patients during the recovery phase.
- Administer medications and perform necessary interventions as prescribed.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and expected outcomes.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and completed in a timely manner.
- Uphold all safety standards and regulations in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient care quality.

**Qualifications:**

- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- A minimum of 1 years of experience in a pre-operative or post-anesthesia care unit preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced ophthalmology environment.
