AVP, Real Estate Transactions | $5B REPE


On behalf of a top-tier Real Estate Private Equity Firm, we are seeking an Assistant Vice President – Transactions to manage the execution and closing lifecycles of complex commercial real estate investments. Operating in a fast-paced environment, this individual will collaborate with Senior Leadership across both Credit and Equity strategies, including debt originations, joint ventures, and direct equity investments. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in title, escrow, and closing mechanics, along with the professional maturity to resolve complex legal and commercial considerations independently.


Key Responsibilities

  • Transaction Management: Lead comprehensive due diligence and closing processes for real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and diverse financing structures.
  • Documentation & Review: Partner with internal teams and external legal counsel to abstract, review, and finalize Purchase and Sale Agreements (PSAs), Joint Venture Agreements (JVAs), and loan documents.
  • Pipeline Accountability: Establish and monitor detailed closing checklists, track contract milestones, and provide proactive transaction updates to deal teams.
  • Due Diligence Mitigation: Evaluate and resolve defects within title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, environmental reviews, and property condition assessments.
  • Escrow & Funding Facilitation: Act as the primary liaison with escrow officers, title companies, and outside counsel to coordinate underwriting demands, finalize settlement statements, and partner with internal Treasury teams to ensure accurate capital funding.
  • Document Control: Supervise the seamless execution and distribution of deal documents while providing operational support to the broader investment team.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years of dedicated experience directly managing and closing complex commercial real estate transactions within private equity, institutional lending, or equivalent legal environments.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required, with a strong preference for business administration, finance, or related quantitative disciplines.
  • Technical Expertise: Advanced fluency in transaction documentation, a deep understanding of title/escrow processes, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
