Pay Rate: $45-55.00/HR Temp to Perm: Temp Travel (Y/N): Y Length of Assignment: 13 Weeks Work Location: Lakeway, TX Work Schedule: 4x10s, 0700-1730, M-F, call required Shift: AM Interview Type: Phone/Virtual Specialty : Cath Lab Certification/Degree Requirements: MRT, ARRT or RCIS, BLS (AHA Only), ACLS (AHA Only) Top Skills/Min Exp: 2 years minimum experience Additional Notes: IR and EP experience is a plus Scrub Color: Navy

The Cardiovascular Invasive Technician is responsible to surgically scrub in and assist with equipment. Assists the Cardiovascular Invasive Specialists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures is a secondary assignment. Prepares room and equipment, transports and monitors patients. May handle medications in accordance with responsibilities.

Essential Functions Of The Role

  • Assists Physicians with arteriograms/catheterizations, permanent pacemaker implantations, diagnostic and interventional, peripheral and coronary, interventional and thrombolytic therapy.
  • Performs pre-and post-procedure care. Monitors and orients patients for specials/catheterization procedures. Answers related questions to make patient comfortable. Transports patients to and from procedural area.
  • Communicates relevant medical information to physicians and other staff through required documentation on specified medical record forms.
  • Records, enters into data computer and calculates catheterization data, gradients, LV grams, cardiac outputs, and peripheral stenosis.
  • Follows national and state radiation protection regulations for patients, self and staff.
  • Maintains inventory of and orders procedure room supplies. Ensures procedure rooms are adequately stocked and equipment is safe to use.

Key Success Factors

  • One (1) year clinical experience preferred.
  • Use of basic office equipment and computer literacy required.
  • Ability to multi-task and self-lead problem solving skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate precision and flexibility.
  • Knowledge and ability to apply complex invasive cardiac and vascular principles, instrumentation and techniques.
  • Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
