Mechanical Engineer - Mechanical Engineer II
Location: Westborough, Massachusetts (Onsite)
COMPENSATION: $36 - $46 HOURLY
Role Overview
We are seeking a mechanical engineer drafter who combines technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get things done quickly and effectively. This person will be responsible for developing 3D and 2D mechanical designs and related analyses specifically for flight-critical avionics systems. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in mechanical engineering suited for both prototype and production-level designs.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop 3D and 2D mechanical designs for flight-critical avionics systems.
• Perform related mechanical analysis.
• Design mechanical assemblies for electronics.
• Work with both rapid prototype tooling and production tooling.
• Manage engineering projects.

Required Qualifications
Education: A BSc/MSc in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or an equivalent field is required.
Experience: Candidates should have experience designing mechanical assemblies for electronics, working with rapid prototype tooling, and utilizing production tooling. Experience in project management is also required.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of MCAD software for 3D modeling and 2D drafting is necessary. Strong communication and writing skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Dassault 3DExperience Enovia for PLM.
• Experience with Dassault 3DExperience Catia for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Familiarity with thermal simulation analysis using ANSYS IcePak and/or Siemens Star CCM.
• Knowledge of mechanical stack-up analysis and structural load analysis.
• Experience using engineering project management software such as JIRA or Confluence.
