Machine Design Engineer

Title: Machine Design Engineer
Location: Tampa, FL (on-site) (relocation package)
Salary: $80,000 - $95,000
Requirements: Strong background in capital equipment machine design 

We are a leading provider of innovative packaging machinery solutions with a strong reputation for quality, engineering excellence, and customer support. We design and manufacture high-performance packaging equipment for food processing and other industrial applications. In addition to delivering complete production line solutions, we provide comprehensive aftermarket support. Our operations include engineering, manufacturing, assembly, research and development, testing, sales, marketing, administration, and field service.  

We are looking for a strong Mechanical Design Engineer who has designed stainless steel equipment - sheet metal, welded assemblies, and machined components to assist our packaging equipment as well as other products. 

What You'll Do

  • Design automated food packaging equipment to customer requirements.
  • Interpret project requirements with sales and customers
  • Prototype mechanism design and validation, as needed
  • Develop equipment layouts and custom CAD models
  • Create engineering drawings using GD&T
  • Transfer BOMs accurately into ERP
  • Support service technicians and clients with technical guidance

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years in mechanical/machine design
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering
  • Skilled in SolidWorks or AutoCAD
  • Experience designing stainless steel components (sheet metal, welded assemblies, machined parts)
  • FEA or Infor Syteline exposure is a plus
