The Role

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to drive innovative and suggesting ideas for automated software test procedures with the Commercial Banking and Payments domain. Our technology portfolio enables cash management products for small businesses to multinational corporations. We are striving to be the industry leader in everyday business banking and the foundation to providing a consistent, Cash Management experience globally. 

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be liaising with the Developers and Scrum Master to identify and test key features of software programs. Apart from testing, you are required to lead the work on continuous improvements of automating regression testing package for our bank application, you should also be able to develop well-planned and structured test plans/cases.

You will be investigating the causes of non-conforming software programs. You should be detail-oriented and possess excellent troubleshooting abilities. If you have a strong technical background and can streamline all testing activities, then we would love to have you on board.

What You'll Do:

  • Require leading the work on continuously improvements for QA automation regression package to enhance and improve the efficiency on the time for each release.
  • Work closely with Scrum Masters, DEV and QA team on planning and prioritizing testing activities including building new test cases and automating existing manual test cases.
  • Require maintaining and updating the existing automation package for each release.
  • Work closely with the Production Support team in maintaining and enhancing the Production Regression package on Selenium through Windows Virtual Machine.
  • Automate Adhoc manual testing where applicable.
  • Tracking and Troubleshooting automation software bugs and investigating the cause
  • Helping identify the areas of improvements in the automation development.
  • Creating test plans, designing and prioritizing test cases 
  • Reviewing technical specifications and design documents 
  • Help conducting regression testing when needed
  • Monitoring assurance metrics and process results
  • Ability to handle and stay organized for multiple, concurrent project initiatives
  • Ability to perform manual testing wherever is required.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related
  • 3+ years of demonstrable experience as a QA Automation Engineer, QA Tester, or relevant position in the IT department
  • Complete understanding of automation systems and databases
  • Experience developing automation in at least one OO language - Java, Python, or web-based technologies
  • Expertise in automation testing tools like Selenium, Robot framework, Karate and Cucumber
  • Experience in testing REST Services
  • Experience with Docker and Jenkins
  • Good understanding on build tools like Maven, Gradle and Ant
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process 
  • Understanding of testing protocols
  • Know-how of different types of testing methods like white box and black box testing
  • Familiarity with the software development process
  • Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Ability to manage project deadlines 
  • Good time management and organizational skills
