Senior Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Engineer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting scalable virtual desktop and application delivery solutions while ensuring optimal performance, security, and user experience across hybrid and multi-cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Citrix SaaS environments.
  • Deploy and manage Citrix Cloud components, virtual apps, and desktops.
  • Integrate AVD and Citrix solutions within AWS-hosted infrastructure.
  • Administer FSLogix profiles, session hosts, application delivery, and user access management.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to VDI, networking, authentication, and performance.
  • Automate deployments and operational tasks using PowerShell, Terraform, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
  • Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, networking, and security teams to maintain highly available solutions.
  • Monitor platform health, capacity, and security while driving continuous improvements.
Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in VDI, EUC, cloud infrastructure, or systems engineering.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
  • Experience implementing and supporting Citrix SaaS/Citrix Cloud solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of FSLogix, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune, and Azure services.
  • Experience working in AWS environments, including EC2, VPC, IAM, Route 53, and Direct Connect.
  • Proficiency with PowerShell, Terraform, and automation frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and enterprise desktop virtualization technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Citrix DaaS, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, and hybrid cloud architectures.
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery, high availability, and cloud migration strategies.
  • Relevant Microsoft, Citrix, or AWS certifications.
