We are looking for a Production Control Manager who owns the execution side of production - translating master schedule into daily shop floor reality, resolving disruptions, and driving OTD across the value stream. Serves as a critical link between planning/ scheduling and manufacturing operations.

Relocation Assistance will be provided.


 

What You Will Do

  •  Monitor daily production status against schedule; identify and escalate variances, delays, and constraints

  • Lead shop-floor expediting: help resolve material shortages, team staffing gaps that threaten schedule adherence

  • Run weekly production control meetings team meeting/ Health measures meetings

  • Manage work order release, prioritization, and re-sequencing in response to real-time disruptions

  • Drive root cause analysis on recurring schedule misses; own corrective action follow-through

  • Maintain and improve production tracking systems (MES, ERP/SAP) for real-time visibility

  • Partner with Master Scheduling to feed back execution constraints into future schedule builds

  • Manage a team of production controllers; set priorities and develop/ mentor staff

  • Report and manage EOTD/ IOTD/AMS OTD, schedule attainment (OTR/OTS/OTF), Aged WIP/NCM, E&O and other related metrics to leadership

  • Support new program introduction, end of life program ramp down, rate changes, and continuous improvement initiatives (lean/Six Sigma).

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience

  • Experience leading a team.

  • Experience in SAP and/or other ERP system

  • Experience in Material management or supply chain or SIOP or Operations.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Advanced knowledge and experience of various MS Office software

  • Demonstrated experience in application of Lean tools through CI/Kaizen events.

  • Demonstrated problem solving, collaboration and influencing others.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Managing resources along with effective time management and organizational skills

  • CORE, Lean Six Sigma or similar certification.

  • APICS CPIM certification.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
