The Cor ICU/CCU (Critical Care Unit) is a 10-bed specialized unit that provides comprehensive critical care services for patients with complex medical and surgical conditions requiring intensive monitoring and advanced treatment. The unit is staffed by a highly skilled interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
The Registered Nurse provides compassionate, evidence-based nursing care through assessment, treatment, care coordination, patient and family education, and individualized care planning while supporting admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Job Description:
  • The Registered Nurse (RN) implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person, and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness.

  • The Registered Nurse (RN) is an exemplar for compassion, acceptance, respect, and empathy honoring nursing as a distinct discipline and supporting an environment focused on healing and wellness.

  • As a clinical nurse, this individual spends majority of his/her time (> 50%) coordinating, ensuring and providing direct patient care activities on the unit through: provision of nursing rounds, assessments and treatments; facilitating admission, transfer and discharge activities; provision of patient and family-centered education; care coordination and individualized treatment planning as applicable, etc.

Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required:
  • Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.

  • Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.

  • Basic life support- Applicants will have 30 days from their hired date to provide completion of this certification if they don't have it already.

  • ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of Assignment.
