Job description

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides general and specialized direct and indirect patient care through the application of sound nursing practice procedures. The RN will demonstrate competency in the behavioral, growth and development, and psychosocial needs of the population served. This role will encounter Protected Health Information (PHI) as part of their regular responsibilities. Together, our providers, nurses, and nursing support caregivers provide a team approach to patient care and are committed to the philosophy of, “Patients First”.

Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Completion of a recognized course of study from an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills

Required Length and Type of Experience

  • One year of related nursing experience, preferred.

Required Licensure or Certification

  • Must be currently licensed to practice in the state of Ohio.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP certification are required within the first year for appropriate unit.

Required Physical and Environmental Demands

  • Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients
  • Manual and finger dexterity along with hand-eye coordination
  • Occasionally lifts and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
  • Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
