RN—Medical / Surgical (Contract Role)
Location: Watertown, NY, 13601
Shift: Night | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Duration: 13-weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekly Pay Rate: $2,088 - $2,268; (Negotiable based on experience)

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate must be comfortable floating between Med/Surg and PCU units and have prior coronary care experience. This role requires excellent clinical skills, leadership abilities, and the flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.


      Key Responsibilities:

      • Provide high-quality patient care in both Medical/Surgical and Progressive Care Units (PCU).
      • Float as needed between Med/Surg and PCU units.
      • May assume charge nurse responsibilities, including prioritization and delegation.
      • Function effectively in high-stress situations and utilize problem-solving skills.
      • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
      • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold hospital policies and procedures.

        Required Qualifications:

        • Current New York State RN license.
        • Minimum of one successful traveler assignment required; first-time travelers will not be considered.
        • Coronary Care experience needed as well.
        • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
        • Previous hospital RN experience preferred.
        • BLS certification required or must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
        • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
        • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills.
        • Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts with weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage.
