Job description

As a Pre Post Surgery Registered Nurse, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn –whether through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager or more formal opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. You'll help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Schedule:  8:30am-9pm

Call:   1-2 day time call shift. Must be within 30 min. of facility if called in. 

Provides leadership which facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Implements medically prescribed interventions.

What qualifications you will need: 

  • Required Experience: One year of nursing experience 
  • Preferred Experience: Pre Op/PACU, Critical Care or strong hospital nursing experience 
  • Required Education: Associates Degree in Nursing.
  • Preferred Education: Masters in Nursing. 
  • Required License: Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON. 
  • Required Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider
  • Preferred Certifications: National Certification in area of specialty
