Registered Nurse (RN) OR Circulator/ Tate Surgery 

Fulltime: Days

Schedule: 

Monday-Friday (8-10 hour days)

Hours will vary with case volume

No call

How you will contribute 

A Registered Nurse (RN)who excels in this role:

  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
  • Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
  • Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
  • Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

Provides direct patient care on the Medical-Surgical unit using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Communicates effectively with the care team and the patient/family to support safe, high-quality outcomes. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.

Essential Functions

  • Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
  • Documents patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
  • Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, psychosocial/spiritual support).
  • Assesses learning needs and delivers age/culture-appropriate patient/family education.
  • Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Participates in performance improvement and required continuing education.
  • Provides quality patient care and works other shifts/units as needed; may take on-call assignments.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Pre and Post operative care of patients

Bachelors degree preferred but not required
