Canadian Medical/Surgical Nurses Wanted in the USA
IntelliStaff Medical is recruiting experienced Canadian Medical/Surgical Registered Nurses for full-time employment opportunities in the United States.
These Medical/Surgical RN positions are for Canadian nurses who have completed the NCLEX-RN, have recent North American hospital experience, and are willing to relocate to the United States.
Medical/Surgical RN Responsibilities
  • Assessing and monitoring adult medical and surgical patients
  • Developing and updating individualized nursing care plans
  • Administering medications, blood products, and IV therapies
  • Providing wound care and post-operative nursing care
  • Monitoring patients for changes in condition
  • Preparing patients for procedures, surgery, admission, or discharge
  • Educating patients and families about treatment and recovery
  • Maintaining accurate electronic health records
  • Coordinating care with multidisciplinary clinical teams
  • Following infection-prevention and patient-safety procedures
  • Working rotating shifts, weekends, or holidays when required
Minimum Requirements
  • Canadian citizenship; required for TN visa eligibility
  • Active Canadian RN registration in good standing
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • NCLEX-RN successfully completed
  • VisaScreen or Visa4Nurses Certificate completed or in progress
  • Eligibility to obtain a nursing licence in the applicable U.S. state
  • At least one year of recent North American hospital-based Medical/Surgical RN experience
  • Current Basic Life Support certification
  • Strong English communication and clinical documentation skills
  • Willingness to relocate to the United States
