Operating Room Registered Nurse (Travel)
Location: Toledo, OH
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 4×10 Nights + 1 on-call shift per week
Pay: $2,407.20/week
Completion Bonus: $2,500 per contract (up to $7,500 after three contracts)
Position Overview
ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for a Level I trauma hospital in Toledo, Ohio. This role requires advanced surgical experience, rotating on-call, and the ability to provide high-quality perioperative care across multiple specialties. First-time travelers are not accepted.
The RN will work Night Shift in a high-acuity OR environment with extensive trauma exposure and will be responsible for circulating across multiple surgical service lines.
Key Responsibilities
  • Circulate for a wide range of surgical procedures including General, Trauma, Ortho/Spine, Neuro, Cardiothoracic, Vascular, GYN, Robotics (Da Vinci Xi/SP), ENT, Plastics, Pediatrics, Urology, and Maxillofacial cases.
  • Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and surgical safety protocols.
  • Prepare operating rooms, equipment, supplies, and instrumentation for scheduled procedures.
  • Anticipate surgeon needs and collaborate with anesthesia, surgical techs, and support staff.
  • Manage patient care before, during, and after procedures in accordance with OR standards.
  • Document all intraoperative activities accurately in EPIC.
  • Respond quickly to emergent and trauma cases in this Level I Trauma Center.
  • Participate in mandatory on-call rotation (one shift per week).
  • Float within scope to support departmental needs when necessary.
  • Provide care to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations.

Qualifications
  • Valid Ohio RN license (pending not accepted).
  • Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience (required).
  • Previous charge experience (required).
  • Must have Level I Trauma OR experience (preferred).
  • EPIC charting experience (required).
  • BLS and ACLS (AHA or Red Cross).
  • Must be able to circulate; scrub experience preferred but not required.
  • Must take one on-call shift weekly.
  • No travelers accepted within a 50-mile radius.
  • RTO over 7 days requires management approval.
  • First-time travelers not accepted.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and recent tuberculosis test required.
