As the RN Director/Manager of Nursing Services in a hospital, you will oversee the operations of one or more nursing departments, ensuring that patient care is provided safely, effectively, and in accordance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practices. Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction for nursing staff in assigned departments, including recruitment, training, mentoring, and performance management to foster a high-performing and compassionate team
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate departmental goals, policies, and procedures, ensuring alignment with the hospital's mission, vision, and strategic objectives
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS, state and federal regulations), maintaining a high level of quality and safety in patient care
  • Monitor patient outcomes and quality indicators, identifying trends, and implementing evidence-based practices to improve care and reduce adverse events
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, social workers, therapists, etc.) to coordinate patient care and resolve complex clinical issues
  • Manage staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation within nursing departments, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and efficient use of resources to meet patient care needs
